This presentation took place during a one-day event titled: “From Here to There and Back Again: Language Teacher Education Researcher Conference.” This event was a showcase for students and staff alike to come together to re-present their conference papers for the benefit of others. Researchers are busy people, and it’s very rare that we can attend the same conferences and events. This was a day dedicated to sharing and bringing our community up to date with the research activity of it’s members. The collection of presentations can be found HERE and my own slides can be accessed below.
I'm a PhD candidate at The University of Manchester. My research focuses on the experiences of visible ethnic minorities who are native English speaking teachers (VEM-NESTs for short). I mostly blog about the messy process of 'doing' research in my field. I also write about other aspects of being a doctoral student, such as teaching university level courses or learning how to use social networking tools. All views expressed are my own.
