This presentation took place during a one-day event titled: “From Here to There and Back Again: Language Teacher Education Researcher Conference.” This event was a showcase for students and staff alike to come together to re-present their conference papers for the benefit of others. Researchers are busy people, and it’s very rare that we can attend the same conferences and events. This was a day dedicated to sharing and bringing our community up to date with the research activity of it’s members. Welcome
I'm a PhD candidate at The University of Manchester. My research focuses on the experiences of visible ethnic minorities who are native English speaking teachers (VEM-NESTs for short). I mostly blog about the messy process of 'doing' research in my field. I also write about other aspects of being a doctoral student, such as teaching university level courses or learning how to use social networking tools. All views expressed are my own.
